Invited Speakers » Marc Delarue
Institut Pasteur, Paris, France
Marc Delarue did his PhD in Biophysics in Paris and obtained an Habilitation in the University of Strasbourg in 1993. He specialized in crystallography and structure-function relationships of polymerases and aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases.
He now heads a group in the Institut Pasteur, Paris and is currently CNRS Director of Research there. He is interested in characterizing the structural dynamics of molecular machines such as DNA polymerases and ligand-gated ion channels. He is involved in both experimental and computational aspects of molecular biophysics, with focus on the importance of fluctuations, electrostatics, drug design and the simulation of reaction pathways between two known conformations of the same macromolecule.
